Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the tour if we don't Hop Off? -- It's approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.

How long is the bus at every stop? -- Only enough time to let passengers Hop Off and Hop On at the stop. The bus drivers don't dally, as they try to keep the tour on schedule.

Is this narrated? -- YES, by some of the best tour guides around. Your official live tour guides love to show people this beautiful city and know Pittsburgh the best. They've got the facts and they provide their awesome personality, humor and fun!

What kind of buses are they? -- Historic London Double Decker Buses - the closed-top Routemaster and the Open top Leyland. They are beautiful, restored and tons of fun to ride on.

Which bus will I be riding on? -- That depends on the weather. During nice weather, mostly the Open Top buses are running...while during inclement weather, only the closed top bus runs.

What should I bring on the tour? -- Your camera, sunscreen (open top buses), your friends, your family, and your adventurous side!

What if I miss the bus? -- You can hang out a little longer at the stop (unless that was the last tour of the day) and a bus will be back around to get you on the next loop. Please make sure you are at the stop at least 10 minutes prior to the next pick-up time so you will not miss the bus!

Can I bring a stroller? -- YES - fold it down and bring it along. Just make sure you bring your kids with you, too!

Are the buses wheelchair accessible? -- The driver will be happy to bring a collapsible folding wheelchair on board...but unfortunately, due to the way the buses are made, at this time service is unavailable to patrons who may be wheelchair-bound. Each person must walk up several steps to board the bus.

You may board the tour at any of the 21 stops. Some of the stops are near major hotels; see Pick-Up Locations List. Please order online or call to order or for more information.
